3 Best Coffee Shops in Vancouver, WA

Whether I am visiting a new city or out of town, one of my favorite things to do is to try new coffee shops. I normally go for an Iced Oatmilk Mocha unless there’s something interesting on the Specialty Menu, and if I like it enough, I’ll try and make it at home. Here are some of my favorites in Vancouver, WA:

  1. Ditazza Coffee. Their Iced Honey Oatmilk Latte is amazing. I normally don’t like my coffee super sweet but their honey, regardless of how much they put, is delicious. I was told they use wildflower honey, which explains the floral notes in the drink. So of course, me being me, I go and buy wildflower honey and try to replicate it. It was good but it definitely did not have the strong floral notes like theirs. I’ll need to ask what brand they use next time!

  2. Presso Coffee. They have this ridiculously pretty drink with edible gold flakes and freeze dried raspberries. From their menu to their storefront, their theme is very classy. If you feel like splurging or drinking something pretty, get their Iced Mocha with Raspberry Cold Foam. It’s a simple, iced mocha with cold foam, just prettified. Will have a recipe up for this soon (need to get Raspberry Torani Syrup first)! This was one of those drinks I made over and over again.

  3. Lastly is Thatcher’s Coffee. This place is my most recent find. Their shop is probably the cutest and coziest out of the three. Plants all around, lots of natural sunlight. It’s in a shopping plaza so it gets pretty busy on the weekends, but plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Their Caramom Orange Mocha is really yummy if you like that flavor combination. And it’s not very sweet which is how I prefer my mochas. I have yet to buy cardamom pods to make a simple syrup (couldn’t find it at Fred Meyer that day). I love cardamom in my coffee, so I’m very excited to experiment with this recipe in the near future.

If you’re ever in the Vancouver area and love coffee, definitely give these drinks a try.
